A new source of information for contact users

The manual regarding contact handling in Code_Aster has been enhanced. A new resource ("Contact handling in Code_Aster") [U2.04.04] is now available and provides useful advices for adding contact/friction in studies, this document comes along the user and theory manual.

It includes :

• help in the setup of contact pairs (slave/master surfaces choice, meshing …)
• help in the setup of the contact algorithms (formulation choice, convergence criterion, …)
• how-tos for non-linear studies, including rigid body motion treatment, post-processing of contact quantities

Contact in Code_Aster will have no more secrets for you after reading this manual !
