Module 4: Civil Engineering

Objective:

This training course provides an overview of the code_aster functionalities as applied to civil engineering, covering the main aspects of reinforced concrete structural analysis: modelling of concrete and prestressing, thermo-mechanical behaviour (hydration, drying, shrinkage, creep), damage behaviour and multi-fibre structural elements. Participants put what they have learnt into practice through a series of progressive practical exercises (cantilever slab, prestressing, reinforced concrete beam, etc.), supplemented by an introduction to the Civil Master software for routine design calculations.

01 - Overview on civil engineering models

02 - Modeling of the prestressed reinforced concrete

03 - Thermique, Hydratation et Retrait

04 - Damage modelling

05 - Structural Elements for Civil Engineering Studies
