IGES import

Hi all,

I'm currently working on my final thesis.
I've been given a .IGES file containing only lines, hence no 3D nor 2D elements are present.
I'd like to extrude some of those closed lines to create solids that i will later mesh and import on OpenFOAM.
Is there any way i can do this or not?
For the moment i proceeded at first importing my IGES file in the SHAPER module and then sketching over it but this process revealed itself as really long and tedious since the geometry is not that simple.

If not using IGES file, does an automated or assisted procedure exist for any other type of file (like STL or BREP ecc.)?

Off-topic: Is anyone aware of a method on how to print via printer a sketch i made without modifing the scale of the drawing?

Re: IGES import

Hello,

a question, have you tried to import the .iges in the Geometry module, create there groups of the edges/elements/convert them to solids and then mesh them in the mesh volume?
