After a fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, using the script provided, I could successfully install SM2019. However, there was an issue with MFront. MFront wasn't working.
Upon executing mfront in salome shell, I was getting error similar to following :
in file ......../sysconfig.py [line 4xx]
module not found '_sysconfigdata_m_x86_64.....'
Upon looking at the Mfront/bin folder, I realized that the binaries are named with version number as mfront-3.2.1, tfel-x.y.z etc. So I just created symlinks to all those files without version number in the same folder as
ln -s mfront-3.2.1 mfront
ln -s tfel-x.y.z tfel
.....
After this the mfront started working properly without any issue.
I am not sure if everyone is having this issue or its just me. But this apparently solved my problem. I had experienced this issue of mfront on ArchLinux install as well.
Reporting it here just in case someone comes across the same issue.

Hi,
I tried the procedure on freshly installed ubuntu 18.04-4 and 18.04-5 several times. However, unfortunately every time I launched the application, choosing "mesh" module resulted in following error:
SIGSEGV 'segmentation violation' detected. Address 8
The only warning I received during installation was:
Warning: the directory /home/username/salome_meca/V2019.0.3_universal/modules/EUROPLEXUS_201901/lib/salome is in a path variable but does not exist
Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Abbas

does your system has graphic card.
Hi sameer,
thanks for the reply. No, It has integrated graphics. However, following the procedure in link (code-aster.org/forum2/viewtopic.php?id=23568), I installed latest version of salome from "salome-platform.org" and it is working without problem. But when trying to access asterstudy module, I receive another error "failed to activate module asterstudy".
Is there any way to have it running on my system?
Thanks

No I installed salome_meca 2019 (fully automated installation script) and I received SIGSEGV 'segmentation violation' error (when I activated mesh module).
However, I didn't have any problem about salome and its modules running on my pc (salome 9.6.0).
what is the reason? is there any solution?
Thanks
