Installation on Ubuntu 20.04 - Virtual Machine - Solution not working

Hi All,

I am trying to install Salome-Meca on a 20.04 Ubuntu virtual machine, and I got the error below upon extracting.

I then found the solution by user sb1966 on June the 25th, 2020, at //www.code-aster.org/forum2/viewtopic.php?id=24883.

I perform the steps up to 5, but no create_appl.sh file is created at all, and I cannot proceed.
Are there any obvious steps in the aforementioned solution I might be overlooking? I am an absolute Linux / Code Aster beginner, thanks a lot

Marco

Hello,

Perhaps you should try with an other version of Python?

Regards

Re: Installation on Ubuntu 20.04 - Virtual Machine - Solution not working

Hello,

maybe my solution in post id=25306 also works here?

'sudo apt install python' before the installation of SM2020 with './salome_meca-2020.0.1-1-universal.run' ? I have found, that the old python command is needed during installation.

Give it a try and let me know,

Mario.
