how to launch salome (win x64) in python?

I am very new to Aster but used other FEA extensively.

unzipped sm-2019-w64-0.3 doesn't work properly, so I tried launch it from python.

I used : os.system('/sm-2019-w64-0.3/run_salome.bat), I got two errors:

the system cannot find the path specifized
'"env_launch.bat"' is not recognized as an internal or external command

What does this mean?

And my goal is actually to generate a salome shell and then maybe run Aster solver directly - since I cannot find this solver.exe or .bat in sm-2019-w64-0.3

Hi, I know this is a little silly, but are you using Power Shell? Because I cannot run my .bat scripts in power shell.
Try run your launch script as an administrator and post here the error you get by doing so.
By my experience, the windows port work just fine and effortlessly.
