Beam 3D

Hello ,

please i need to study a 3D concrete beam but  have a probleme with meshing i need to have only cubique mishing all around the beam how can i do that please, here is a picture of the mishing that i am using now.

Hi Amin,

I think this is quite difficult to mesh your geometry with only hexahedrons with salome free mesher.

You can try with Netgen1D-2D-3D by activating allow quadrangle, but your mesh will have few pyramid elements.

The other technics are :
- purchase the licence for the meshgem mesher
- create the mesh with an other software and import it in salome

hi thank you for your answer, yes i think with quadrangale will be more easier but i should do it with cubes because i need to compare my results to another beam,
unfortunately i don't know other softwars to do the meshing,

Actually ''allow quadrangle" creates quadrangles in 2D and hexahedra in 3D
