setup.py failure

Hi everyone

I am getting a peculiar error while trying to install aster-full-src-12.1.0:

Checking for C/fortran program using blas/lapack... no
---------- ERROR MESSAGE ----------
test.o: In function `test_':
test.F90:(.text+0x78): undefined reference to `ddot_'
test.F90:(.text+0x92): undefined reference to `dlapy2_'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WARNING :
The C/fortran test program calling blas and lapack subroutines failed.

Reasons :
  - unable to find suitable C/fortran compilers
  - blas/lapack libraries (or required by them) missing
  - incorrect compilation options

Nevertheless the compilation of Code_Aster may work !
If it failed, you must help the setup by setting CC, CFLAGS, MATHLIB...

Any ideas?

thanking in advance

mimis

Re: setup.py failure

Did you install all the prerequisites listed there : http://www.code-aster.org/wiki/doku.php … requisites ?

Code_Aster release : unstable on (Ubuntu Precise Pangolin 12.04 64 bits) - GNU + Intel

Re: setup.py failure

Thank you for your reply.

It is an OpenSuSE system.

goldberg:~ # uname -a
Linux goldberg.site 3.7.10-1.28-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Feb 3 14:11:15 UTC 2014 (c9a2c6c) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I think everything is installed, I have other instances of aster on the same computer.

Re: setup.py failure

Hello,

This list may be out of date. Search for blas-devel and lapack-devel packages...

MC

Code_Aster release : last unstable on Ubuntu 16.04 64 bits - GNU Compilers

Re: setup.py failure

Well, I have a little of follow up:

Actually, my OpenBLAS was installed following Kendo MAEDA's instructions in

Paraller_Code_Aster_12.1

It would seem there somekind of compiler incompatibility: I cancelled the

PREFER_COMPILER='GNU_without_MATH'
MATHLIB= '-L/opt/OpenBLAS/lib/libopenblas.a'

in Kendo's version of setup.cfg, installed the opeSuSE-supplied packages of

 libopenblas0, libopeblaso0, libopenblap0, openblas-devel-static

(mine is an penSuSE 12.3 installation) and everything went fine !

Thanks again
