[Solved] Error in starting asteru_mpi

Hello,

When I submit a job to ASTK using CA_11+ MPI version in a PC called "ubuntu32" I get an error:

<INFO> ./asteru_mpi Python/Execution/E_SUPERV.py -eficas_path ./Python -commandes fort.1 -rep none -num_job 3379-ubuntu32 -mode interactif -rep_outils /opt/aster/outils -rep_mat /opt/aster/NEW11.0_mpi/materiau -rep_dex /opt/aster/NEW11.0_mpi/datg -suivi_batch -memjeveux 64.0 -tpmax 900
mpiexec: unable to start all procs; may have invalid machine names
    remaining specified hosts:
        192.168.1.231 (ubuntu31.mshome)
EXIT_COMMAND_3464_00000017=0

I am puzzled by the reference to "ubuntu31" when my files are:

cat /opt/aster/etc/codeaster/mpi_hostfile
# ubuntu32
cat /opt/aster/etc/codeaster/aster-mpihosts
# ubuntu32

Also the /opt/aster/etc/codeaster/asrun file contains the following appropriate lines:

noeud : ubuntu32
mpi_hostfile : $ASTER_ETC/codeaster/mpi_hostfile

and the /etc/hosts file contains the appropriate line:

grep "192.168.1.232" /etc/hosts
# 192.168.1.232	ubuntu32.mshome	ubuntu32
uname -a
# Linux ubuntu32 2.6.38-11-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Mon Sep 12 21:17:25 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I have even tried 'grep -r "ubuntu31"' in the /opt/aster sub-directory which shows no files were found containing "ubuntu31"
(I have commented the lines with a "#' for this posting to designate the output of commands). Where else is CodeAster getting this spurious machine name from?!!!  Any advice is appreciated.   Thanks!

Regards,
JMB

Re: [Solved] Error in starting asteru_mpi

Hello,

I may have have found the problem.  It has to do with ~/.astkrc/prefs being the new file that takes the place of ~/.astkrc/config of older versions of CodeAster.  The ~/.astkrc/prefs file was pointing to a ~/mpi_hostfile with the errant value(s).

Regards, JMB
