[SOLVED] Incorrect Element Results Printed to .resu

Hello All,

I'm debugging a 3D static non-linear mechanical analysis and want to print VMIS and V1 results to the resu file for a single element. I have placed this element (M66948) in a group called base_e in Salome and reference it in the .comm file. CA instead prints results for element M86187. Attached are the .comm and .resu files.

Am I misunderstanding something or is this incorrect?

hello

well this may be normal
as long as this is the element you want!
numbering in aster is different from mesh number in a med file

try this
in Salome  mesh module pick an element get its properties,
in Post-Pro module pick the same element and get its  properties
??

that is why one should always use groups

Thanks for this info, I was unaware that element numbers could change. My analysis seems to be behaving itself now.
