Building MPI version in salome_meca 2021.1.0-2-20220817 fails

Hello,

I tried, once again, to build the MPI version following our, in the meantime, old recipe in

https:  //github.com/emefff/Code-Aster-MPI-in-Singularity-of-SM2021

with the new container salome_meca 2021.1.0-2-20220817.sif.

I am already stuck in the './waf_mpi configure ' step where waf tells me, that something is wrong with MUMPS (version? see attached screen capture).

When I then run an empty Study, MUMPS is shown as 'non disponsible'.

When running the sequential version it tells me that Mumps 5.2.1consortium is installed (also in the container in /opt/salome_meca/Salome-V2021-s9/prerequisites/ this version seems to be stored).

Is this version of MUMPS wrong for the sources of CA 15.4.0 (it is also in the 'old' SM2021-MPI)? Do I have to use another version of CA sources (I already tried the 15.4.0 from the recipe, 15.4.8  and 15.4.15)? The result is always the same: no MUMPS installed.

Any help is appreciated, I am sure, I do not know what I am doing here :-),

thank you,

Mario.

Hello,

I just tried 16.1.8 https: //sourceforge.net/p/codeaster/src/ci/16.1.8/tarball?path=

there seems to be no waf_mpi in it,

Mario.

Re: Building MPI version in salome_meca 2021.1.0-2-20220817 fails

The only difference between containter salome_meca_2021.1.0-***** is the prerequisities for the unstable version of code_aster and nothing change for salome_meca.

They are given to build unstable version and not stable version 15.*. Moreover, they work a specific interval of unstavle version

If you don't plan to use  unstable version, this is not necessecary to change salome_meca container.

Use git repository instead source forge

Re: Building MPI version in salome_meca 2021.1.0-2-20220817 fails

Hello,

thank for answering. I do not plan to use an unstable version. However, I thought there would be a possibility to use the updated container (updates in SM?) with a stable MPI-version.

So, what you want to say is, there is no need/possibility for me to do that, if I understood correctly. There is no stable version (not even 15.4.0, is it still the latest?) that would be possible to use with this container,

thank you,

Mario.

the stable version is 15.6 now on gitlab

You can build with the container but with appropriate version

Re: Building MPI version in salome_meca 2021.1.0-2-20220817 fails

Hello,

I haven't tried so far. For Gitlab I need some sort of certificate, I have to read that properly and do that some time. Maybe I'll find time during Christmas Holidays. Also, I do not know if the building process has changed, I may be  out of luck there,

If anyone else has tried, please let us know. Hosting the .sif for download is not problem,

Mario.
