Installing with singularity on Manjaro

I have been trying to install salome-meca on manjaro since morning.

I installed singularity by building the release. And it seems to be working fine for test (Cow).

But when I try to `run --app install salome.sif` it throws an error related to write permission.

My SIF file isn't on the Linux Home drive, but rather on SSD. I don't have 5GB of space left on the home drive. Is it required to keep SIF file into the home drive?

How should I proceed?

This is the error I am getting.

Please HELP!!

singularity run --app install salome_meca-lgpl-2021.0.0-2-20211014-scibian-9.sif                                                                  ✔  3s   
The starter script must be installed in /run/media/prestige/Data/Knowledge/Projects/Programs/salome-meca.
ERROR: no write access to /run/media/dummyUser/Data/Knowledge/Projects/Programs/salome-meca.

Restart the installation with:
  cd /run/media/dummyUser/Data/Knowledge/Projects/Programs/salome-meca
  singularity run --app install salome_meca-lgpl-2021.0.0-2-20211014-scibian-9.sif

Re: Installing with singularity on Manjaro

Hi,
AFAIK, the sif file has to be in your home directory. That's how the singularity container is set up.

(I would be happy to be corrected if I am wrong.)

Best regards
