Hello,
Does anyone knows if I have an MFront routine developed in Ubuntu, could I use the same library using the CA windows version?
Thanks everyone!

Thank you for your answer.
Would developing using UMAT be possible in the Windows version? Any idea about developing in the windows version in general?

hello
is not mfront included in the container version of salome_meca?
or maybe it is time to have a go at a real solid OS: linux native?

CA windows version is compiled to one .exe (14.8) or .dll (15.4) with all available prerequisities. I think that development with UMAT or other is not possible in simple way in windows.

I dont have any experience with container on windows wsl. I primarily use C-A on opensuse.

I am sure developing in Linux offers a plethora of developing possibilities, in my case I am not allowed to use an OS different than WS.

Hello Padr,
Tfel/Mfront is available as a stand alone aplication in Windows. The Tfel webpage indicates how to install it using MSYS2. Once installed you could compile your Mfront material with the MSYS2 version of Tfel and then point CA to use that behaviour.
I must say that I have never done this so I cannot ensure that it will work, but that is how Tfel is supposed to work in Windows.
I hope that helps,
Fer
