Single Matrix on Simple Problem

Hi everyone,

I am trying to run a known test case as I am new to code_aster, which is a plate with a hole in it's center.

Although I think I have applied border conditions correctly, I get an error during the run which is:

"Problème : la matrice est singulière ou presque singulière"

I am attaching the hdf file in case you want to take a look at it.

I would really appreciate it if you could help me with this.

Hello,

your part is able to move freely in Y. The output even tells you that. So, you should think about where you can fix your part in the Y-direction.
In the MESH module you can take a look at N2040, where is it, how it is supposed to move etc., to get  a clearer picture (RIGHT-CLICK Mesh --> Mesh Information --> Element Info Node (enter 2040)),

Hello Mario,

thank you for your reply.

I did not see the sentence where it specified which direction was free.
Now that I have locked the mid plane of the plate in the Y direction it runs withouth a problem.
Although I thought that the restriction in Y was a consecuence of the disposition of forces. I didn't think it was necesary to do it artificially.
