elasto plastic analysis with plate elements

hello

is it possible to make an elasto plastic analysis with plate elements (DKT, DKTG or COQUE_3D) on a steel structure similar to the one that could be made in 3D element with

COMPORTEMENT=(
		_F(
			RELATION='VMIS_ISOT_TRAC',
			DEFORMATION='SIMO_MIEHE',
		),

i find nothing in the doc about that

Re: elasto plastic analysis with plate elements

Hello,

No, it's not possible

plate/shells elements can used any "plane stress" constitutive law:
- if it exists
- with Deborst if not exist

But SIMO_MIEHE and GDEF_LOG cannot been used with Deborst

Re: elasto plastic analysis with plate elements

If your strains are not too large VMIS_ISOT_TRAC/VMIS_ISOT_LINE with GROT_GDEP is a good choice, at least with COQUE_3D or SHB

Re: elasto plastic analysis with plate elements

Hi Jean Pierre,
recently I've made a structure with plate element in elastoplatic range.
I used a 'VMIS_ISO_TRAC' with deformation 'PETIT'
All was runned fine.
See attachment for more details.
Bye
