[Solved] Error: Unable to open machinefile (asteru_mpi)

Hello,

I recently compiled CA_11.0.27 MPI version on an Athlon single core PC, with the hope of making it the second node of a 2 PC cluster. As a preliminary test I am trying to run the standard test problem mumps01a. The sequential version of CodeAster works fine. But with the MPI version, I am getting an error: "unable to open machinefile"

So far on this PC I have tested:

cat /opt/aster/etc/codeaster/mpi_hostfile
# ubuntu31
mpdboot --totalnum=1 --file=/opt/aster/etc/codeaster/mpi_hostfile
mpdtrace -l
# ubuntu31_33185 (192.168.1.231)
mpdallexit

(All the lines with '#' are the outputs)

The /opt/aster/asrun file has line:

mpi_hostfile : $ASTER_ETC/codeaster/mpi_hostfile

I ensured that "ssh -X ubuntu31" also works without a password prompt. What possibly could be wrong? Thanks for any suggestions or help.
