Hello,

In order to solve my problem, I use a python library that can handle containers : spython. And I simply import Client from spython.main.
At this point you can manage instances of container and run commands on them.

Bonjour à tous,

Je souhaite affecter à chaque élément de mon maillage un module d'Young qui lui est propre.
J'ai suivi l'exemple sur le topic suivant : code-aster.org/forum2/viewtopic.php?id=17518.

Malheureusement je tombe sur un erreur et ne comprends pas d'où elle provient. Code_Aster me dit qu'une condition est non respectée : "iret.le.0".

Globalement j'ai un programme python qui crée un champ au format MED en affectant à chaque élément un module (ici tous le même à 210 000 MPa).

Je viens le lire puis l'appliquer au matériaux via "ELAS_FO". 

Il est très probable que je réalise mal l'une de ces actions mais je ne sais pas laquelle. Si l'un d'entre vous a déjà eu le problème ou a déjà modélisé quelque chose de similaire, je suis preneur.

Je vous joins en ZIP les fichiers que j'utilise.

In order to debug my simulation, I want to save the last converged step in my rmed before the simulation crashs. Is it possible to do so in Salome Meca / Code_aster ?

Hi,

I have some issues about results storage. In order to save space on my computer, because I run several simulations but I have a finite amount of space available, I want to optimize my strategy regarding results storage. First of all, I put in the rmed only steps needed, it helps a lot. Nevertheless, I still have a huge amount of the directory taken by results in glob.n. Is there a way to automatically delete this file or at least reduce its space ?

Bonjour à tous,

Je rencontre un problème lors de la résolution d'une analyse non linéaire. J'ai une plaque (fine) bloquée en certain points sur x et y, en d'autres points sur z et sur laquelle j'applique une pression de chaque coté. lors que j'applique une pression égale, par exemple 1MPa de part et d'autre de la structure (les surfaces d'application ne sont pas en face à face), le calcul se déroule parfaitement (et rapidement). En revanche, avec un différentiel de pression (1MPa face A et 0.5 MPa face B), le calcul ne converge pas, même avec une découpe des pas de temps (Auto ou manuelle), le calcul crash aux alentours des 7%. Est-ce que quelqu'un a déjà eu un problème similaire ou a un suggestion ?

What type of BC's do you use ? In Salome-Meca, BC's allow some type on mesh, sometimes only nodes, sometimes only elments, somethimes both etc ...

This solution would be perfect but I use an external Python to run simulations, is it a problem ? I mean, its my python that several time call the command "singularity run fic.sif ..... as_run My export"

Hi guys,

I'm currently working on Mechanical Design Optimization with Salome-Meca / Code_Aster / Python. In this purpose I run several simulations in batch mode. To do so I use the command "SalomeLauncher (extract from singularity run) -- shell -- as_run --run ExportFile". My problem is that each time I run the command, a container is build in a sort of disk, taking 5.5Go on the disk and does not self destroyed at the end of the run. So after several runs, I have some trouble to create new container and the simulation doesn't start. Do you have any hints to solve my problem.

Yes for sure, I also tried with the way they recommand but it crashs all the time. So I used "wget" with option to restart when it fails smile

Yes, sometimes download fails for no particular reason. I solved my problem with an auto-restart of my downloading process.
You should do so on linux : wget -nc -L URL_FILE

Hi,

I have the same issu, probably something due to Graphical Card hmm. I do not solve the problem for now, but sometimes re-dimensionning the window do not avoid error messages but reset the view and make it usable.

I was using this a lot espacially when I wanted to restrain my displacement only on Z- for example and allow it on Z+. Is there an easy way to do so in Code_Aster ?

First of all, thanks you both for your answer.
I used Marc-Mentat before, and in Marc-Mentat you are able to model some parts with mathematical objects (Splines, Surfaces, Solids, ...). It allows you to simulate things like crimping for example without meshing jaws. In fact, when you only want to see deformed shape and you do not care about stess or strain in jaws, the calcul will consider them with an infinite stiffness. But contact, displacement and force are still available. I guess, it just "update" boundaries conditions of your crimped part with mathematical equation from your rigid part. And I wanted to know if there is a way to do so in SM. I'll try the partition things, it could be interesting.

which files ? I do not have any example files. I was juste wondering how to simulate some parts without meshing them. I previously used Marc-Mentat were it was allowedt to use geometric body.

Yes of course, there were 2 mesh difined (mesh_1&mesh_2) and I grouped them with "ASSE_MAIL : Superpose" in a "Global_mesh" and I applied my meterials models on each mesh, and I study the "Global_mesh".
If I'm not clear enough do not hesitate to tell me, I can also show you the .comm
