Does anyone knows if I have an MFront routine developed in Ubuntu, could I use the same library using the CA windows version?

CA windows version is compiled to one .exe (14.8) or .dll (15.4) with all available prerequisities. I think that development with UMAT or other is not possible in simple way in windows.

I dont have any experience with container on windows wsl. I primarily use C-A on opensuse.

Hello Padr,

Tfel/Mfront is available as a stand alone aplication in Windows. The Tfel webpage indicates how to install it using MSYS2. Once installed you could compile your Mfront material with the MSYS2 version of Tfel and then point CA to use that behaviour.

I must say that I have never done this so I cannot ensure that it will work, but that is how Tfel is supposed to work in Windows.

Now that Simvia offers Windows binaries for Code_Aster, is MFront included?

The mfront binary is not embedded in the Windows build of code_aster, mainly because this would require shipping a full C++ compiler/toolchain.

However, the Windows build of code_aster is compiled with MGIS support. Therefore, if you install MFront in an MSYS2 environment and build the behaviour library using the mfront CLI, you should, in theory, be able to load and use it from code_aster on Windows.
