Program and registration for the next code_aster users’ day in the UK on September 11th 2018

Following the success of the 2016 event, EDF Energy R&D UK Centre will be organising another code_aster user day in Manchester on September 11th 2018.

The event will take place at the university of Manchester, in the lecture theatre of the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology, a five minutes walk from Piccadilly train station, and will offer the opportunity to meet the wide community of code_aster users.

The event is free and open to all. However, as the number of participants will be limited, registration is mandatory (see details below).

The agenda will include:

  • Introduction to code_aster and salome_meca by EDF development core team:
  • New functionalities of code_aster and salome_meca presented by EDF development core team:
    • Presentation of AsterStudy, the graphical user interface of code_aster now offering straight-forward uncertainty quantification;
    • Presentation of the future version of code_aster which will be optimized for High Performance Computing and fully operable with Python;
  • Technical presentations given by EDF and EDF Energy staff or from members of the open-source community on a wide variety of subjects;
  • Discussion with code_aster developers and experts
