The HOMARD software carries out the adaptation of 2D/3D finite element or finite volume meshes by refinement and unrefinement techniques. On the starting mesh, one carries out standard calculation and one estimates the error which was made compared to the real solution, in every single element. The following principle is applied: the elements where the indicator of error is strong should be smaller. With this information, one feeds HOMARD which will modify the mesh consequently. On the new mesh, calculation then will be started again.
HOMARD is available through the SALOME, the OpenSource platform for numerical simulations.
